Description
Nematode Blend- Steinernema spp. & Heterorhabditis bacteriophora are microscopic, non-segmented roundworms that live in the soil and prey on many different soft bodies insects and grubs such as; Wireworm, Lawn Chafers, Cutworms, Sod Webworm, Armyworm, Weevils, Root aphids, Fungus Gnats, Shoreflies, Thrips. The nematodes enter the insect through their mouth, spiracles (respiratory openings), or directly through the body wall of the pest. They have a beneficial bacteria in their gut that is released inside the insect, which kills the insect, then they use the host to feed on and reproduce.
